Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 May 2026
These terms govern your use of Restify Cloud (the web app at app.restify.online and the API at api.restify.online). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. The Restify software itself is open source under the MIT license; these terms cover the hosted service, not the source code.
1. The service
Restify is an API client. Restify Cloud is an optional service that lets you create an account and sync your collections and environments across devices. The desktop app can be used offline without an account.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information and a valid email address.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to break the law or infringe others' rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.
- Use the service to send requests that you are not authorized to send to a target system.
You are solely responsible for the API requests you make using Restify and their consequences.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the collections, requests, and environments you create. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and sync that content so the service can function. You are responsible for the content you store, including any credentials or secrets you choose to save.
5. Availability
Restify Cloud is provided on a best-effort basis and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. We recommend exporting important collections, which the app supports.
6. Open source
The Restify application is released under the MIT license. You are free to run, modify, and self-host it. See the repository for details.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Restify and its author are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
